1 JOHN 4:20
“Those who say, ‘I love God and hate their brothers or sisters are liars. After all, those who don’t love their brothers or sisters whom they have seen can hardly love God whom they have not seen!”
Friday, September 24th at 6:45 am I sat on the floor in my room, I had just finished praying and was about to put away my Bible when I heard God speak that I need to reach out to my sister. At that time, we had not spoken in almost two years, I attempted reaching out 6 months prior but got no response. I now have a better understanding of what it means when said in Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. We cannot rush the process but let God have his perfect works James 1:4, and God is the one that puts people together but at the right time.
If any of you are praying for a relationship on any level to be restored can I suggest a prayer point for you? Pray that hearts will be open to receive healing and move on from the past. Ezekiel 36:26-27 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Lord, may you touch the hearts of your children and bring restoration to all family relationships in the Mighty name of Jesus.
I remember saying to the Lord you know that I tried and she didn’t respond, but okay I will send her a message in her DMs and he said “No send her an email. I looked back at the email while writing and saw that it was sent at 7:01 am not knowing that Joshua’s body was found 3 hours prior. My sister responded at 10:33 am later that day providing me with her current phone number both of us not knowing that just in a few hours that would change our lives forever. Since that day God has been very faithful. I and my sister are best friends, I can say with confidence that he is my confidant. True sisters, we have become, the support that she has been to me and my children has been unmatchable. She has been my rock especially when I want to give up. There have been countless days where I feel like I want to hide and crawl into a hole but then the phone will ring with her on the other side saying “Hey you’re good?
Christmas is 10 days ways. I’m asking those that are dealing with a broken family relationship to go back and make peace. If you don’t know how to pray and God will lead you is what I hear him speak. God designed families for a reason and we know based on Psalm 33:11 that the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations that God’s plan are firm and purposeful.
Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God
Let bygones be bygones, Life is too short I hear the Lord say. Represent me and my kingdom I hear the Lord speak again because we know not what day any of us will be called home. Blessed are the peacemakers.
Lord, you heard my prayers when my relationship with my sister was on the rocks and you answered Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.‘ You moved and answered my prayers when I needed her the most, I am asking that you do the same for every person reading this. Restore and bring healing to the parts that are broken. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
It says love holds no records of wrong please don’t let what happen in the past keep you from moving forward.
