Yesterday I was watching a video based on the book of Ecclesiastes link to video will be below. It broke down Chapter 3 and there was something that the speaker said which was Time is Fixed and Limited. Last year ended with unseen changes and I know that it is all God because things were plucked and removed that should have never been in my now that I have clarity to look back.
1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints
I have been learning to stay silent even when I feel like I need to speak, and what that has taught me is that in certain circumstances I have left too much room. Room to be used, room to be misunderstood, but also room for growth.
The last three months have taught me to let doors close and throw away the keys. Boundaries are to be at the forefront of every interaction, walking alongside wisdom. Heart posture and motive need to be brought before the Lord in everything that you seek, because often the things that we seek are to fill a void that the naked eye cannot see.
January started off strong, and through prayer it is closing off even stronger, with an understanding that where there is no peace, I can never reside.
Ecclesiastes 3:1–5 says:
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.
When Joshua died, a piece of me went too. My life changed to the point that I know that it is only God that the pieces were held together. My mind changed, my body pivoted, the way I see this world has never looked so bright.
I used to think that we are in control of what happens, and that is not true. The only thing that we can control is how we decide to handle situations thrown our way.
If I can leave you with this, it would be take the time to heal, take the time to pluck up, and take the time to break down, because without these things we will just remain in a time that I believe God is desiring us to move from. It’s in the breaking that you will be planted. Understanding that time is fixed, use it.
