Last night a friend of mine called me, He read and then prayed. Hebrews 11 to be exact which is titled in the Bible “By Faith”.It was after I came off the phone while lying in bed that I began to think about those who came before me and how they handled trials and the wiles of the wicked one Ephesians 6:11. Today I was led go to back and read that verse again but this time something different happened; the scriptures began to flow off the pages becoming that which was spoken of in Hebrews 4:11 The word of God is living and active drawing my eye to the verse below.

Hebrews 11:11
It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise.

I had so many plans for me and Joshua- One was that we would do this walk of faith together in hopes that one day he would do the same with his children but that was all taking September 24th, 2021. Although Joshua is not here physically his life lives on weekly through each post.

Psalm 34:19
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.

These last few weeks have been hard emotionally. My faith has been assaulted, and tested to the point I often wonder if this will get any better there is no manual on how to deal with the death of a child. It’s like am walking through the valley of the shadow of death Psalm 23:4 mixed with a little Cast down, but not destroyed 2 Corinthians 4:9 while I walk through the waters knowing he is still with me Isaiah 43:2. Abraham and Sarah were given a promise many would today deem impossible but continued to have faith in God. I too try to have the same approach that they did by walking by faith and not by sight leading me to act worship closing off in prayer where my peace is renewed over and over again.

“I want you to remember who I am” I hear the Lord speak. Hebrews 11:11 says Through Faith”, Hebrews 11:1-2 says Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Romans 8:18
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

While I cry out Abba Father one might ask has it gotten easier? No, I will never lie to make myself sound like I have it all together this season/battle comes with many hills to navigate through not only for myself but my family. It’s hard at times to stay upbeat for not only yourself but the people around you so that they don’t grow faint but this is why prayer is essential. I hear the Lord say “Speak about that”, when you open the greatest book ever written not only do you read about countless problems but you see the answer to each one. Many battles in the Old Testament were won by the partnership of God and his people. You might ask how ? and the answer is through prayer. Prayer is the connection between God and man if you look back the the life of our great High Priest you will see that he often left the presence of his friends to seek God about a thing. David did it as well and you can see that in the Book of Psalms in chapter 25:1 prays “Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

Reading the scriptures and examining the life of Abraham and Sarah has taught me to draw near sooner in times of weakness casting my cares upon the Lord 1 Peter 5:10 In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you and place you on a firm foundation.

Father, there are so many families missing a son, daughter, mother, and father due to the selfish act of murder. So much can be said about the pain that I feel a burden to lift up these families before you, I come boldly before your throne of grace for them. I pray you uncover every missing clue not only in Joshua’s case but all unsolved cases in the GTA I said my region because I heard the Lord say to be specific and knowing who is there is a reason. Lord, do it for the families that have been crying out to restore, support, and strengthen them. In Luke 18:2-3 we see a story of a woman wronged by her oppressor that you would give all families Justice. for their enemies and bring the people who committed these crimes before the Justice system. Today is September 24th, the same time that I got that devasting call that Joshua was dead. I am asking my readers to pray for us and everyone who has been affected.
