Psalm 84:11
For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory.
The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

As I wipe the tears from my eyes I hear God speak focus on me.

Yesterday, at home I was led to watch an episode of Superbook called “Ruth”. Superbook can be found on YouTube and is a series of Bible stories for children but very adult friendly. I hear the Lord say it’s in the waiting you will see my promise. Many of us have things that we are waiting on. For some, it may be an improvement in your health, a financial breakthrough, or seeing restoration in a Relationship. While I watched the episode something stood out to me about Ruth’s story, but I also heard that small still voice speak “While you are being processed trials and tribulations may come to shake you, but you need not forget that your foundation is solid in me.

Psalm 62:2
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.

To glean is the process of gathering what reapers leave collecting in small, detached parcels.

Many of us wake up with great expectation, wondering if this is the day that we will receive that which was spoken of concerning the promises of God. But what the Lord has been showing to me in this season of waiting is that we need to follow his last instruction. Whatever he has asked you to do, do it without hesitation keeping your hands to the Plow. Luke 9:62 But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God. “Ruth unexpectedly ended up in Boaz Field; where she not only gleaned for her family but in turn was seen by her purpose partner. What I mean when I say purpose partner is the person that one chooses to marry and birth the next generation to blow fire back into the enemy’s camp. She was there minding her business fulfilling the task that God had ordained over her.

Ordained- participle passive Appointed; instituted; established; invested with ministerial or pastoral functions; settled.

Ruth 2:1-5 Ruth Works in Boaz’s Field
2 Now there was a wealthy and influential man in Bethlehem named Boaz, who was a relative of Naomi’s husband, Elimelech.2 One day Ruth the Moabite said to Naomi, “Let me go out into the harvest fields to pick up the stalks of grain left behind by anyone who is kind enough to let me do it. ”Naomi replied, “All right, my daughter, go ahead.” 3 So Ruth went out to gather grain behind the harvesters. And as it happened, she found herself working in a field that belonged to Boaz, the relative of her father-in-law, Elimelech.4 While she was there, Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters. “The Lord be with you!” he said. “The Lord bless you!” the harvesters replied.5 Then Boaz asked his foreman, “Who is that young woman over there? Who does she belong to?” The Lord pointed out something to me in Ruth 2:2. It says, “Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Please let me go out to the field and glean grain behind anyone in whose eyes I may find favor.

Favor based on the King James Bible Dictionary means Kind regard; kindness; countenance; propitious aspect; friendly disposition.

We have to trust that in your gathering season, God won’t withhold that which is due.

Glean, until what for you comes
Glean, without compromise
Glean, without hesitation
Glean, and take what’s yours

Focus on that which was spoken of in Genesis 22:15-19 Then the angel of the Lord called again to Abraham from heaven. 16 “This is what the Lord says: Because you have obeyed me and have not withheld even your son, your only son, I swear by my own name that 17 I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants[a] beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies. 18 And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed—all because you have obeyed me.”19 Then they returned to the servants and traveled back to Beersheba, where Abraham continued to live.

I speak peace and wholeness to you in your due season. Father, in this season where some may be wondering if there is anything else for them I pray that they will not lose focus. I am praying that peace would flow through their homes like fresh wind. But most of all I pray that they would remember that your word is truth as Number 23:19 says God is not a man that he should lie, neither son of man that he should repent: hath he said and shall not do it? hath he spoken and shall not make good.

Until next time remember that God loves you; Trust him for he is faithful
