My Hewn

Isaiah 51:5-7
My mercy and justice are coming soon. My salvation is on the way. My strong arm will bring justice to the nations. All distant lands will look to me and wait in hope for my powerful arm.Look up to the skies above, and gaze down on the earth below. For the skies will disappear like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a piece of clothing. The people of the earth will die like flies, but my salvation lasts forever. My righteous rule will never end! “Listen to me, you who know right from wrong, you who cherish my law in your hearts. Do not be afraid of people’s scorn, nor fear their insults.

My Mercy and Justice are coming soon; I heard God say stand on that as I wrote this. When I think about how Johsua’s life was taken, I need justice, but to be honest, I don’t know what that looks like, and when I do express how I feel to people and that I desire to see the people responsible for jail, it just hurts me, even more, know that even when caught my son is not coming home.

I need the people who did this exposed, just as the sun reveals all hidden things each morning. As a mom who has lost a child at the hands of another person, I can’t believe this is the world I live in. Never in my life, even as a kid, did I think this would be a part of my story.

John 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

I believe in God and believe that he has spoken in this matter. While praying for myself, I asked God to show me what honest Justice is, and he directed me to the King James Bible Dictionary.

JUST’ICEnoun [Latin justitia, from justus, just.]
1. The virtue which consists in giving to every one what is his due; practical conformity to the laws and to principles of rectitude in the dealings of men with each other; honesty; integrity in commerce or mutual intercourse. justice is distributive or commutative.

There was a way that I was hoping this would all play out, and it was two and a half years, and I was still waiting for answers. So, I continue reading about God and how he does things to understand better and become calmer, trusting that his timing is perfect because one thing is for sure: when God does a thing, he does it with full completion.

This morning, while doing devotion with my children, God brought an article to me about our imagination and how it holds no errors when he created everything we see. He did it purposefully, even down to the colour and texture.

Genesis 1:1-7
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

Verse 7 stood out to me, but more practically, how it ended by closing with: and it was so, which reminded me of this verse in the bible.

       Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

I was courageous how many times the word justice was written in the bible. I found on Google that it was in there over 1000 at that point; I was reminded that God does nothing to do it and that if it is in there over a thousand times, it is because he is faithful and will do the impossible even if it is years later.

God is a loving Father, and like our fatherly fathers, he wants to right what has been wronged for his children. In this week’s post, I want to encourage those who have lost a loved one due to a senseless act of crime. God wants and will bring justice because he knows we need answers.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

This week, I pray that our faith will increase so that we can believe what was spoken in Isaiah 51:5 My mercy and justice are coming soon. My salvation is on the way. My strong arm will bring justice to the nations. All distant lands will look to me and wait in hope for my powerful arm.

May Holy Ghost fire blow the clues to every unsolved case into the police’s hands in Jesus’ mighty name.

Justice is coming
