Heavenly Father, I welcome you and receive your correction. My ears are open to hearing your voice and may the spirit of fear be bound from your church. This morning during prayer fear was arrested by the power of the Holy Spirit. Satan’s number one tactic and it is not even a new trick up his sleeve, it is his number one go-to because he knows the impact it will have on a person’s life. He is so crafty that he doesn’t even wait till we are in our preteens or adult years to start making his lying suggestions. No, not him; He comes after us at birth causing something to make us feel we are not safe in the Father’s arms.
I was led to rewatch an old teaching by Dr. Matthew Stevenson called “The Spirit of Fear”. His sermon starts with him making a powerful statement “Fear Distorts”. The King James Bible Dictionary says that distort means to Twist out of natural or regular shape and to force or put out of the true posture or direction. Dr. Matthew Stevenson goes on to say that where fear is we cannot see clearly.
Psalm 53:5
Terror will grip them, terror like they have never known before. God will scatter the bones of your enemies. You will put them to shame, for God has rejected them.
Father may this post shatter the lies of the wicked one. Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. Matthew 11:12 And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it. In the name of Jesus, I plead the Blood of Jesus to destroy the yoke of bondage that Fear has been used to keep God’s people from moving forward. Break it off of every person’s life Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit. Your word says that the kingdom suffers, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it. May your son’s ad daughters unite in intercession for your kingdom and run through troops and leap over every barrier that the enemy has set before us in the Matchless name of Jesus Christ.
Fear #Phobos in the Greek. Panic and terror are what Satan has been using to cause God’s people distress causing some to turn from what he has called them to walk in. When Moses told the Israelites to follow him out of bondage fear of the unknown set in. As they had passed through the red sea which was a demonstration of God’s power done through Love some were still fearful of the unknown of what awaited on the other side. Dr. Matthew Stevenson asked his congregation “Who would you be if you had no fear? Take a moment and even make notes about what you think you would be able to accomplish if there was no longer fear where it was.
In his teaching he asked the church to turn to Psalms 34:4 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. My question to you would be do you believe that God cares that you have fears? But do you also believe that He wants and His power is great enough to deliver you from the spirit of Fear? And it is a spirit one that has nothing to do with God’s kingdom. 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity but power, love and self discipline.
If your answer to the above question was yes; Great and if not even greater because there is no condemnation in God’s kingdom. Matthew 9:27-28
27 After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” 28 They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?”
“Yes, Lord,” they told him, “We do.”
With grief, fear can sometimes creep in without even realizing it. Some wonder how did this tragedy happen? Will I ever get out of this? Will my life ever be the same? In the name of Jesus Christ yes you will come out whole, healed, and set free. John 10:10 says The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Abundant life I decree over God’s people and there is nothing that the enemy can do to stop the plans that he has sent forth. No witch, no warlock, and no principality sent from the pits of hell can stand against the kingdom of God and the Blood that was shed on Calvary.
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” Psalm 33:10-11 10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations and as Dr. Matthew Stevenson would say #Itisso Dr. Matthew says “You cannot have a future if you are not free. Why? Because slaves can’t be successful.
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
He goes on to say that as believers fear is an option. Who controls are thoughts? We can opt out of it. Nothing can grow in fear. He mentions that another pastor told him when dealing with fear address it as a person; speak to it and tell it to be silent and get out in the powerful name of Jesus. Address fear in your prayer life, throw it at the feet of Jesus. What would this sound like? Lord your word says in 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Lord, I have fear of man, the unknown and the dark and losing control but your word says in Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. I believe that you are greater; John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. I lift up the name of Jesus as my Banner and bind the spirit of Fear from my life, home, and circumstances and loose the spirit of Love in the powerful name of Jesus.
If there is another takeaway that I want you to know about the power of prayer is that sometimes depending on what you are facing having others come alongside you is good to have as they might be able to bring revelation through the Holy Spirit gift that was given to them by intercession. And this is why it is important to have a sister or brothers in Christ that you can call on in times of need. They know the position they play in God’s heavenly Kingdom through Christ Jesus; walking in Authority not afraid to draw their sword which is the word of God and use it without hesitation. Use discretion on knowing who to share with as I wrote about last week especially when sharing details of a sensitive topic but pray and do it without ceasing.

Lord Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Let us no longer shrink back but run forward pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ. 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in Love; but perfect love casts out fear. Lord your servant has faith and believes you do it now in the name of Jesus uproot and pluck up every seed of fear that the enemy has planted in the life of your people.
