Where Are Our Men Going?

Where Are Our Men Going?

It’s 3:15 a.m. I went to bed around nine o’clock, and I got back up probably around 11. What some don’t understand is that this is actually a typical night for me. This is the effect of trauma.

I scrolled on social media for a little bit. I prayed for myself and prayed for some other people. And as I was lying in my bed, I just started to think to myself and ask God questions, like, what is happening in our society that we are losing our men and our boys?

I want this post to be called, “Where Are Our Men Going?”

You know, it’s just very disturbing as a mother of four boys and to have lost one. And then every minute I look on the news and I see our men are dying at an alarming rate, and they’re dying young. You know? To see that our boys and our men, being  murdered and some are not  even getting to see 30?

You know, it just hurts.

I often pray for myself, but I also pray for mothers and fathers and siblings and grandparents. You know? Earlier today, I was looking at Josh’s pictures. I looked at Josh’s picture when he was a baby. I looked at his, I believe it was his three-year-old birthday and I also looked at a Christmas picture.

And to know that this boy didn’t even make it past 18.

I have so many questions, and I’m sure many of us do.

Where are our men going? What is happening? Can it be stopped? Can it be stopped?

The Bible says that the same power that is in us, that was in Jesus Christ, is in us.

And I don’t know what to say, except we can’t stop praying. We can’t stop coming before the throne of grace boldly. You know?

Even the word pandemic comes to my mind. And then I thought about the book of  Exodus when Pharaoh called for the order of all the boys to be killed.

I don’t know what it is that’s going on in our society and in our world.

Well, I just ask God to move.

Don’t stop interceding. Don’t stop praying, canceling the plans of the enemy, because he cannot have our men.

Love,
The Carpenter’s Motherour men.
